Belt drive Q's

On a 6 cyl to v8 swap I ran into a slight dillemma. Id like some advice on a setup for the alternator mount. The engine is an 87 that I converted to TPI from carb. The problem is that now the upper alternator bracket willnot bolt up to the manifold since the styling is different. Should I try to custom grind the bracket, or is there an easier alternative?

having been in similar situationsas you i've ground brakets and welded metal on then to get additional length. easies thing to do is find a complete engine and rob all the brackets and pulleys.
