305 tbi to 350 tbi

i own a 1990 camaro rs, which as you know has the 305 tbi, also have the 5 speed. well at some point i would like to take the 350 tbi out of a k5 blazer. would it fit with out any problem? what mods would i have to do? i would add mods on before put in. also i would like to add a TR6060 tranny, whats kinda of adapter(if needed) whould i need. and would a rear axel out of a 1990 z28 bolt up with minimal problems, i know i would have to redo break lines, but that no biggie.

Re: 305 tbi to 350 tbi

they will fit. basicly the only difference between the 305 and the 350 is the internals but the outside of the blocks are identical

Don't forget to install a pilot bearing in the crank for the transmission input shaft before installing the clutch/transmission.

dont you usually do that when you change the clutch? i have a zoom multi and a new slave cylinder. and the pilot bearing should be with the cluth.

Re: 305 tbi to 350 tbi

Hey guys...

I have a 91 Rs 305 TBI T5. Im looking to do the simple L98 long block Swap... I have access to many junkyards... any specific engine code im looking for when scavenging for my L98?? Again, im looking for something that will bolt right up... Someone told me avoid anthing with aluminum heads otherwise I'll be sorry. The original Heads on the L98 were cast correct?

Also, for those of you that have done this swap... will I truely only need new injectors and a new prom to make this frankenstein a success??? Everything else will just slide into place?
