305 to 350...
305 to 350...
I know how to do the modification of a 305 to make it a 350, I'm just not sure if it's cost effective. Should I just go ahead and buy a 4-bolt main 350 and start from there? Would it be more cost effective to convert a 305TPI into a 350TPI?
I'm a student so I'm on a limited budget, or else I would just go ahead and buy a 350.

you cant just make a 305 into 350. First off the 305 and 350 have the same stroke. If you were to bore out the 305 that much you would hit the water jackets or crack the cylinder walls. Basically impossiable. Just pick up a 4 bolt like you were thinking. I just one on ebay. 100 bucks. And i also one a 2 bolt all machined and ready to go.
