Computer Question

ok im planning on getting a 350 to replace my 305. The 350 will be using a holley 670 cfm tbi(designed for 87-89 gm trucks). Will my factory ecm and wiring harnesses work? what else will i need to change?

Here are a few ideas that will get you started. your ECM will work but you will probably need a custom chip for the 350.
You will need a new Knock sensor and I believe a few other sensors are different on the 350. There is a ton of stuff written about this so search the archives cause you will be able to get a complete list of all you will need. Some guys have changed the ECM to the Truck ECM for better tuning ability if you do your own proms. I forget the number of the truck ECM but there is a ton of stuff about this on the prom board. I have a couple of posts asking about this so check the responses to them. A lot of it comes down to how modified your 350 will be. If you do a LO5 caprice with few mods, you may ba able to get away with a GM prom out of an 89 caprice which uses the same computer. Good luck and search the archives and you will get most of your questions answered.......bob
