anyone who actually has built a tpi 400sb

ok i really want to put one in my iroc sometime in the near future. but i always try to plan ahead and i was looking in my catalogs of car parts and i was wondering where i would get anintake for it also i think the 86 and up blocks have a different bolt pattern. and if you did do this where did you get your intake.

It wasn't the blocks that had a different bolt pattern, it was the center two bolts on each side of the intake to the head. Choose your heads based on whether you're going with an '86-older intake or '87-newer. Both intakes and heads are available with either pattern.

some one here had a 400 tpi and said it was fast as he!! but, ran out of breath at 5000. but, I bet with the right heads and some intake polishing perhaps even a bigger intake and some slp runners it would go well above 5000.
