i'm thinking of putting the edelbrock performer system on the 305 thats going in the s10.

 

You need to elongate the center two intake mounting bolt holes on each side so that they are more vertical. It would be best to then file/grind the bolt head mounting surface on the intake to make it perpendicular to the bolt axis to give it a nice face on which to apply the clamping force.

This isn't too hard, assuming you're working with an aluminum intake. I would think, though, that the Performer system would be matched correctly.
