How much HP out of this engine?

Does anyone know what stock HP/torque ratings were on an 86 blazer engine? Also how much do you think it would take to make 350-400 hp out of it. Most likely will be getting new heads, cam, and intake. Any suggestions on which to get for it. What else could i do to get this kinda horsies out of this engine with minimal mulah put into it. I will have some money to put into it, but would like to get the most bang for my buck.

Depends on which Blazer. K5 or S10. i had an 87 TBI 2.8 which was the big engine...LOL and I think it was rated at 110 HP, not very much. The 86's however were carbed and were slow as SH*T. I'm not sure of their numbers tho. I'm hoping that you are talking about the 350's that came in the K5 Blazers.

Yes i am talking about the 350 from an 86. Keep in mind I will be replacing, heads, cam, intake. So im wondering if after doing this, how much power might the engine have. Also, what would be a good setup for this engine on minimal dollar. I want to get the most bang for my buck.

The rating for my 1991 was 210 hp from the factory, I don't see why an 86 would be different. 350 TBI...

my neighbor has a k5, and its the same engine that were in the 350tbi camaros, but i would think that they would put out less horsepower and alot more torque
