Goodwrench replacement 350
Goodwrench replacement 350
Hey guys, this is my first post. I saw an ad for Jim Pace parts, and I saw a neat engin. It is a replacement 350 for a 91-93 B-body. It has a 9.6 to 1 compression, roller cam, and Lt-4 rods. A pretty good deal at $1490. I'm planning to order this motor this summer, and changing the cam. I figure this should give me around 250 hp. It won't win many races, but it's a start. What do you guys think.

For the money its a very good choice. I Assume you have TPI so I am not sure about the fine points of that swap, but I know many have done it with TBI and been pleased. I have heard you can expect around 250 Hp with a manifold and headers. The negative is that the LO5 heads are restrictive swirl port and probably the biggest limitation on that engine. I have heard that a cam is a big improvement
given the head limitations. It seems to be the easiest most trouble free swap and a great price. Check out the archives cause there has been a lot written about this swap
especailly for the TBI guys. If you have TPI you may want to ask how the engine works with that set up. Good luck.......bob
