What year blocks can I use?
As stated in my earlier post, I'm going to try and do a 305 to 350 TPI swap. I need to know what year of blocks I can use to make a "new" L98? Thank You

If you're not going with a roller cam, 86 would work too.

Are the internals of the 96-98 Vortec motors different than previous roller cammed, one piece rear seal blocks? I want to build a factory roller cammed motor, and put on vortec heads, but if I can use the motor the heads came from without too much of a hassle, it would make things a lot easier. Would a ZZ3 cam fit the Vortec block? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Larry
