How bout a "Camaro Conversion Kit" in a M5?
How bout a "Camaro Conversion Kit" in a M5?
The kit is designed for a 82-87 LG4 with auto but what about swapping it in a car with a T-5. What all would I need to do to the T-5 to handle the power, or what else needs to be done in order for the car to run with the new motor correctly. The said one for the manual is said to be in the works but who knows how long that could take or if it would happen. A lot of you guys have LG4's w/T-5's and this kit sounds sweet.

Hey, I think I can answer your questions. Not only did I use this kit on a manual car, I also swapped from a V6. So I probably ran into every little problem there is.
First, if you have a two-piece rear main seal block, you'll need a different flywheel.
Second, the transmission-to-dual-cats hangar is transmission specific. You can just order the correct one from GM, it's still in production.
Third, make certain you have a working VSS because the automatic PROM that comes with the kit will bitch if you don't.
That should be about it! All in all adapting it to a M5 car is pretty easy. Easier than an M5/A4 swap, in any case.

Oh and as far as the T5 handling the power... I hope you have a world class T5. If not, you'll see where the T5 got its lousy reputation.
If you have a WC T5, like I do, you'll find that it does ok as long as you don't abuse the hell out of it. Drag racing on slicks with powershifting is a no-no, although the slicks will probably break your rear-end first if you have an earlier 10-bolt.
