305 TBI to 350 TBI
305 TBI to 350 TBI
I have an 89 rs camaro with a 305 TBI. Would it be possible to swap my 305 for a GM crate motor 350HO? WOuld I still be able to use my TBI.

You would need a new intake manifold since the 330hp 350 uses the special vortec heads. Everything else will bolt up no problem. I wouldn't recomend using the stock TB unit unless you plan on swapping in a smaller cam. What ever you do you're also going to need to get larger injectors. The holley 670cfm TB unit comes with injectors new for ~$300. Everything else will bolt up with no problem. Oh yeah, and headers would help a lot, the stock 305 TBI exhaust manifolds are terrible even for the 170hp lo3 so what do you think is going to happen when using the 350ho? Don't expect much hp above 3000rpm
