whats the process?
how would i go about installing a new engine by myself? i have a 1991 rs with a 3.1 v-6. I am going to put a 305 TPI into it. I am keeping my current 5 speed. I was told I can do this and i was told how to do this, so please don't worrry about that. I need to know what other things i will need to replace and how to go about pulling the old out and putting the new in.

I'm getting mixed signals here. You say you've been told you can do it and how to do it, then you say you need to know how to pull the old out and put the new in. Hmmmm....
I'll take a stab at what you're trying to ask. I'll assume you mean you know you can keep the T5 if you use a V8 bellhousing.
As for the rest, go buy a TPI car close to your year that's been totalled from a rear or side collosion. Then change everything associated with the V8 & TPI (harnesses, lines, cables, hoses, fuel pump, computer, radiator, accessories, etc.) and the front springs & engine mounts. Don't forget the tach.
Is that close to what you needed to know? There's plenty of posts about switching from V6 to V8 on this board - just look over the topics from the last 30-45 days or so.
