Pulling 305

What's the easiest way to pull the 305 out of my 82 Firebird? Pull the engine with tranny or just pull the engine? Thanks.

When I pulled mine a few weeks ago...I pulled the motor and tranny in one piece.
was pretty easy actually.

If it's an auto just leave the tranny in place. If it's a stick, the input shaft will make it too hard to pull the motor without dropping the tranny out first or pulling the tranny with the motor. So you have to choose your punishment. Would you rather pull the tranny or pull the radiator? I'd rather pull the radiator. Definitely get an engine tilter if you plan on pulling both the tranny and motor together.
