305tbi>350 carb...a few questions for experienced people?
Making the swap from my 305 tbi to a good old 350 carbed. First question. Can the stock pump with a fuel pressure regulator 400-450 horsepower? I heard a lot of guys say they kept the stock pump with the carb swap, however ive also heard it will only handle up to about 350 HP. Im putting a holley 700 DP on it.
Second question. If my ecm is bad, will switching to carb solve this, or do i still need the ecm to run my gauges and everything else? Most people say to leave all the wiring except for the wiring not being used by the tbi anymore.
Third question...How can i get my torque converter to lock up? Ive heard to make a switch...but does that mean i have to manually switch it on and off all the time????
Last but not least...For all of you who have made a similar swap...what were some unexpected things that came up with the swap? Anything i should watch out for? Anything you would recommend?
Thanks guys
