Is it legal?

If I were to take a basic 383 or 350, 400 sm block whatever, and stick it in my third gen. What would I have to do to it to make it legal for imissions and junk like that?

Just leave all the stuff on. I took out my 305 and put in a 383 (350 block) and it passes the visual inspection because everthing is on and looks like the orignal. I doubt mine will pass if they actually test it for pollutants.

In awnser to your question, for the most part just leave on the crap after you put the new block in.

Of course if you put in a 383 or 400 your not going to want to use the stock ign or exhaust or other stuff, so get parts that is 50 state legal.
