I have a zz430 clone from salle chevrolet. I bought a fastburn 385 then had them swap on a edelbrock Water pump. Hot cam. and 1.6 roller Rockers. They also reworked the Hei to give the Right adavance. Its almost ready to fire Up. I am waiting on a throttle braket and some other small stuff. Its in a 89 camaro.
A word of warning. There are only 2 headers made for the engine. Sanderson said they had 1 1/2 headers wich is to small. Jim pace has a deal with headman headers. Headman is sellng 1 5/8 headers only through jim pace. Plain headers cost 168 coated 368. I bought the coated and went to put them on my car and the driver side header hit the motor crossmember. I was going to call them up and send it back but Its not like I have any other choices of headers. I put the header in a vice and heated it with the torch. After some time I got it to clear the crossmember but my ceramic coating was ruined. If I were you I would get the plain headers, Make sure they fit, Then send them to Jet Hot.

Because the ports are in a different place in relation to the bolt holes.
Details....
It's very similar to the intake side, where the ports are moved up higher on the intake flange. Most intakes leave a gap at the top of the port exposing part of the port in the head. You have to use a Vortec-style intake with those heads, of which there are relatively few, including none for TPI. There is a Performer RPM for them, which would be a good match for the heads, but hood clearance could be an issue especially in a Pontiac.
