Can you give me some advice... I want to swap my V6 on my daily driver with some V8. As i understand, i should go with 350. As i have read&heard, that most recommend TPI. Unfortunally can't i get TPI engine, but there is ona 350 TBI on '88 Van. This on can i get at the normal price. Question is: shoult i go with TBI (mods are more expensive), swap TBI with carb. (cheaper mods) or try to get some TPI system? My goal is ~250hp. i'm i right, when i say, that hopping 350TBI to ~250hp is much more expensive, than hopping carb. engine? What about gas mileage at ~250hp (carb./TBI/TPI)? I think, that i must go with carb., but how much is the carb. engine gas milages lower than TBI or TPI at this hp-rate?
