Engine Swap Complete- Shooting gas up out of the carb??
I just finished my v6 tpi -v8 carb swap (350 crate). When I try to start the motor it will turn for a second then Spit a spray of gas straight up out of the carb with a puff of blue smoke. What am I doing wrong? Is it the timing? I have fuel, air, and spark. PLEASE help!

Could very well be the timing off, like distributor in 180 degrees off. How did you go about installing the distributor?
What are you doing for fuel delivery? Are you running the in-tank electric pump? If so, did you use a fuel pressure regulator to drop the pressure at the carb?

Yes, It was the timing, THANKS, I was 180 out. She started for the first time last night, What an awsome feeling!!! I have NEVER done a complete swap all by myself. Now I have TWO probs, I never touched the body wiring during the swap (yes everything worked prior), My gas gauge, volt meter, and tail lights still work, but no dash lights, dome light, or licence plate lights. and the weird one, I cant turn the car off when its running even if I disconect the batt. I had to choke it out to shut it off. Do I have the wrong wire to the dizzy? or should I install a kill button to this wire? I don't get it, Any suggestions would be great,

Your dome light is on your accessory, 'always hot' circuit and is switched by either of the two door switches or at the headlight switch. If it still works when the door is opened but not with the headlight switch, which is common to the others, I'd look there.
Your hot wire to the coil should only be hot in 'run'. It should be the same connection your V6 was using before? Make sure you have the correct wire.
If you did anything to the steering column I'd check the ignition switch adjustment.
Even with the battery disconnected the alternator will still be providing power to the system.
Double check your fuses.
