How much would I expect to spend if I get my completely (STOCK) engine and have it bored to a 383 stroker with performance headers
( you know the works ).

 

I'm building one from scratch, and have a lot of the parts already, like the block crank connecting rods and distributor. I'm looking to spend $2500 or so on the engine alone, then probably another $750 on reinforcing my car to handle it all. Hope this helps.

My cost for my labor and parts on this 383 of mine went for a total of $3100.00. This included a 2500 stall converter and a shift kit for the tranny. I only had to supply the carb. I got a great deal if u ask me. I think you should look at spending 4000.00 max
