Should I toss the cross fire
Eww man ditch that Crossfire BS, from what I heard it's noooooo good. Look at it this way, the 350 crossfire Corvette made less HP than my 305 TPI 91. I believe a crossfire vette is rated at 195hp, while my 305 TPI is like 230hp. So thats my 2 cents anyway. As for why the crossfire is so bad, I really have no real answer more than a few guesses.

Tunned port is more performance oriented than cross fire. I think the crossfire was a good idea but never fully explored because its easyer to dump a new manifold distributer and slap a carb on it to make more power.

From a performance standpoint, ditch it. But throw it in a box somewhere. CFI cars are getting rare, between ending up in boneyards and being swapped for carbs. If/when you decide to sell your car or bring it back to stock, you'll be glad you kept the CFI unit.
