TPI to Carb or stay TPI
TPI to Carb or stay TPI
im getting a 88 L98 for my 87 Z28 with a LG4 the L98 has no plenum or runners just a intake which would be cheaper and work better and what would i have to do for the carb switch up.

You need a lot more than just plenum and runners added to an intake to switch from carb to TPI: injectors, fuel rails, fuel lines, in-tank or aftermarket electric pump and associated wires/relays/switches, harness, sensors, ECM, air intake, MAF, TB, throttle & cruise & TV cables, etc., etc., etc.
The LG4 equipment from an '87 should all bolt right onto an '88 L98. What could be cheaper than using what you already have? Okay, you'll need intake manifold gaskets. But, it will work fine as soon as you get it running, vs. all the hassles you'll go through getting a TPI conversion running. Better exhaust (which even the LG4 could use) would be the only thing to add - and you'd want to do that to the TPI anyway.

The person im getting the L98 from said the intake is from the original TPI set up all he took off was the runers, plenum and a few other things that he is gonna give me a list to, I have an edelbrock performer RPM intake from my 87 monte ss that I put on the LG4 could I actually just bolt it on and throw on my double pumper and it would work or what? if I can im gonna do that cause fuel injection and electronics is so damn confusing.
