Do anyone have the part # for a 400sb oil pan that fits TES headers?
Hi there
I just found a rebuilt 400 sb for $800 from a local engine shop & I was wondering if anyone has any info ( part #) on a oil pan that will allow for my Edel. TES system to fit under it without touching anything. I made this swap before & the damn oil pan that goes with the stock 400sbc was a little to big & that caused the exhaust to lay right on the oil pan.
Thanx in advanced!

How close does it come? I picked up a chromed small block oilpan, and it does not look any different size wise than my 305/350 one...the only difference I can see is the dipstick and internal windage tray.
It would really suck if I put this all together and it didnt fit, so your take on this would be appreciated.

I'm using the old early 70s Z28 pan from GM on the 400 in my 83, with TES currrently; everything fits fine. That pan does require a windage tray however, as it has absolutley no baffles whatsoever. I don't recall the part # off the top of my head as I bought it about 13 years ago.
