305 and 305 HO, what's the difference?

As far as I can remember the cam has a little higher lift and the heads flow a little better.I don't have any technical numbers,sorry.

The LG4 (305) has dished pistons and the HO has flat-tops. So compression and flow and cam and I also think the HO's came with steeper rear gears to top them off.

Axle/Gears: 12B-3.73/9"-3.89
In '85, LG4's got flat tops, raising the compression and power. But, L69's still got better exhaust & cam. Before that, the L69's also had better carb secondary tuning. The heads never changed.

The standard rear ratio for HO's was better than the standard rear for LG4's, but the good gears were optional with LG4's, so don't tie the two together too tightly
