Engine: 5.7 L98 / LT1
Transmission: 700R4 / 6 speed manual
Axle/Gears: 3.42 posi / 4.11 posi
305tbi to 305 vortech
i'm kinda new at this engine swapping so any info would help.1988 formula 5.0 tb to a 5.0 vortech out of a truck. what would i have to change in order to make a hassle free swap?can i keep my stock tbi unit?any ecm problems? thanks in advance

gta007, looks like snflupigus burned you on this one. I think one of the moderators on this board should move you back to the tbi board. Anyways to answer your question,305 or 350 you will have to get a vortec specific intake manifold possibly an adapter plate and fab up an egr hook up or do without. If you choose a 350you will most likely have to get another chip for your ecm. Everything else should bolt right up.
