one piece swap to two piece

In the interest of saving a few dollars, I am wanting to swap out a new style one piece seal block (305) for an old style 350 with the two piece rear seal. The new style 305 has to come out. The cam is shot and it's lost oil flow to the top end. I have a 4 bolt 350 laying in the garage that ran great before I parted out the van it was in. I know I can get a different flex plate to bolt up to the torque converter so thats no problem. I'm concerned about the alignment of the pulleys. Is the front face of the damper in the same relative location on both engines? The 305 is still in the vehicle so I can't get a good measurement anywhere. Is the bolt pattern for mounting the front crank pulley even the same for both engine models?
Thanks, I'm sure someone on here will have the info for me.
Later,,, Matt

As far as I know, everything should be fine.

I just swapped out a one piece 350 for a 2 piece 400 and had no problems at all.

Apart from what's been said, you should really use an internally balanced damper on your 350. Do not use the "extrenally" balanced damper from the 305 one-piece. Both mount on both cranks, the difference is the balancing.

I will use the damper for the 350, I was just worried that the lower pulley mounted on the 350 damper would be in a different location fore and aft wise causing alignment problems with the belts.
Thanks,,, Matt
