putting an ls1 or lt1 into my thirdgen?

Is it a huge major project requiring all kinds of bootlegged adapters and other makeshift parts.

Any swap that requires transplanting an engine and doing a bunch of wiring stuff IMO is a huge project. The LT1 will be much easier to deal with, since it will bolt up to the stock engine mounts. The LS1 wont, and requires more fun stuff to deal with. If you do a search for LS1 or LT1 on this board you can find out more about either swap.

but well worth it, the only "adapter" you ahve to make is I had to modify the pass. side engine mount to keep the A/C and modify the crossmember. if you are willing to spend the money, absolutely go with a pre-made wiring harness, that was and still is a mess on mine.
