305tpi-350tpi swap problems

305tpi-350tpi swap problems

I just got my engine installed and am having big problems. I got a 355tpi with following changes over my 305: Hot cam, Dart Iron Eagle 200cc heads, 24lb injectors, Edelbrock intake manifold, Ram clutch. I didn't change the knock sensor or the prom.

Saturday, the engine revved fine in neutral, but when it's in gear it doesn't want to go mover 3000rpm. Check engine light came on, and it's throwing codes 12 and 32. Sunday I got a mile down the road it it just died. The car is being checked as I write this, but I want to armed with info when the mechanic calls me.

i am almost sure that you have to buy a 350 knock sensor if you switch from a 305 to a 350. i heard it will run but it would not even get close to its full potiental so that might be one reasone why it cant rev past 3,000 rmp and why its dieing.

Update: The distibuter gear was worn out, which caused it not to start. I'm hoping that was why it couldn't rev over 3000rpm.

Well first off your going to need a 350 knock sensor, and since you are using bigger injectors the 305 chip is no good and your going to have to get a custom one burnt. Later
