building a sscca l69 track car (anything is possible)
My first car my parents anversery car has over 350k on body thats 300k on l69 ho305 about 48k on crate 350 and 2k on dz302. i sold the 302 for a dp on wifes new car so the build starts over.
motor that is a test motor i got for a 100$ and some bbc parts
010 4 bolt main block with around 60k
all new gaskets, trw .030 over pistons pink rods and a steel crank
i put a mild cam and a noise gear drive just for the heck of it.
a edelbrock highrise and a holley carb. it has camlehump heads
everthing sprayed black
383 i am building for a t-60 or bigger set up and have not made up my mind yet.
forged 383 crank with blancer and flywheel (got already)
eagle rods 5.7
010 block (have and ready to be machined)
I had a set if 64cc tall camlehump heads with manley stainless valves 2.02's machined in fully ported and polished comp valve springs and good retainers and and roller rockers and push rods guides
piston unknown
cam unkown
mls head gaskets
arp everything
I am building the car for a open track or autocross just a trailer queen that i can drive if wanted... you know 2 seats a cage and a ton of power with good rubber and good suspension. i plan to runs the 350 as long as i can and finish the 383 with the turbo set up. times are tight since i just had my first baby girl. i will build and tig my own stainless manifolds and do as much fabbing and take pics as much as i can to show the progress.
these plans might change since i migh have talked my father out of a 454 with scat rotating assembly
