350 with Procharger
350 with Procharger
I am thinking of swapping a 350 sbc with a procharger supercharger into a 89 RS camaro. I'm wondering what all i will need to do to the following things
-Suspension Mods.?
-Engine work, as in what types of internals should be involved in a supercharged motor.
-Rear end and drivetrain. (Rear, Driveshaft, and tranny- I'm thinking a 5 or 6 speed manual) Car is an automatic originally.
Any help or advice on the topics will be appreciated. I am no stranger to motors or fabrication to the car so i can do all of the work myself. thanks!!

Depends upon what you've already done to the suspension, and how much power you end up making.
That's really a topic for the Power Adder forum.
Again, depends upon the power you end up making. And, what you do with the car. At a minimum, you need to max out the stock 10-bolt (aftermarket carrier, gears, and axles; aluminum support cover; welded tubes). Most likely, an aftermarket rear like an f-body 9-inch or 12-bolt would be the best money spent.

Re: 350 with Procharger
It all depends on your power output... a stock 350 will take 8-10psi safely ive seen them take more but a bright candle only burns so long
is it staying fi? or are you going carb?
main deal with a boost is that its addicting you can never stop you will always find yourself wanting more.
so i say forged motor arp bolts mls head gaskets all the work you are willing to throw at the motor it will be worth it.
suspension all depends on what ur plans are for the car?
rear end- i blew up mine with 600hp on a burn out..
axleshafts first then a posi unit or locker gears last
