engine block question?

i'm about to purchase a block, but heres the thing. one block i saw has stamped 5.7L on it and the other one has 350 on it. is their something different?

Yeah, the era they were manufactured in. Other than than maybe the amount of nickel content (verify with casting number) and nothing else.
