check engine light

I have an 85 TA originally carb. I swapped in a built 327 i had sitting in the garage and the check engine light won't shut off why is this? the only gauges that aren't hooked up yet are the temp and oil pressure. also where do i put an oil pressure sending unit and water temp sending unit in an old block. any help would be appreciated.

thanks

well the oil presure sending unit should go on the top back side of you intake in the block, check for a plug. the temp sending unit should go on the side of the driver side head if not on the front top of your intake, the ckeck engine light you need to check it to see what code its giving you and if you dont have it installed you have three choices, add it, fix it or pull the bulb.
Hope this will help
