Want to switch to carb, but everything in my car is electronic

I want a carb. I'm sick of my TPI setup. I have a 86' vette. If yall have ever seen the inside of one of these, evrything is LCD, and managed by the atrosity that gm calls a ECM. Is it possible to switch over?
thanks

"okay that question is just dumb. . first off. . why waste the time and energy, also most of us would rather have the better mileage that a comp.controlled injector can offer us. . and where would you find the mod to incorporate the acm into that hunk. . . besides the TPI is just fine leave it alone

now if you have the skills of me then you would be good"

The dash on my 86 TA is all electronic, and I know people have thrown the ecm away on those and I looked into it and I know the only problem area is the speedometer, which reads off the VSS on the tranny but there is a way around that. The coolant temp, oil pressure, tach, fuel level, and voltage are all separate of the ecm on my car even though they are electronic gauges. My suggestion is to get a wiring diagram for your car and see where that stuff actually hooks up, you may be surprised... are you absolutely positive the ecm has anything to do with the dash in your car?

If I remember right, there is a smaller wire harness that piggy-backs on the ecm harness. This has the speedo, oil pressure and other leads on it. It doesn't even connect to the ecm at all. Seperate this harness from the other and go from there.
