I might be mistaken, but the fast burn engine would have the fast burn heads, which are designed like the vortec heads. You're car is a TPI, right? Thus, your TPI system won't fit right with the heads on that engine.
I WAS TOLD THAT THE ALUMINUM VORTEC HEADS ARE DRILLED TO USE BOTH OLD AND NEW TYP INTAKE MANIFOLDS IS THAT NOT TRUE WITH THE FAST BURN HEADS I PLAN TO USE AN EDLEBROCK TPI BASE AND RUNNER SET ON WHATEVER ENGINE I PUT IN THE CAR,WILL IT NOT FIT THE 385?

Please lose the ALL CAPS function. It's very hard to read, and should be reserved for when you are shouting at somebody.
The ports on the Fast Burn heads are not in the same place as they are on a TPI base. If you simply drill holes, then yes they'll bolt up; but you'll have giant manifold vacuum leaks where the TPI base doesn't cover up the Fast Burn intake ports. AFAIK no one makes a TPI base that will bolt up to those heads, since it's an inappropriate combo in the first place; but it is said (and has been for about a year or more) that any minute now, someone is going to start making one for people that want to do it anyway.

The Fast Burn heads are set up for a high-flow, high-RPM, single-plane-intake kind of motor: very lo restriction, lowest possible velocity. TPI is designed to be low-flow and high-velocity for highest possible low-RPM torque. The 2 approaches to intake tract degign are completely at odds. What you'd end up with is the air coming rushing in through the runners at high velocity into what amounts to a plenum behind the intake valve, thereby killing off the "ram" effect of the runner. Since the runners don't flow, you'd have no high-RPM horsepower, and since the "tuned" aspect of "tuned port injection" would be eliminated, you'd lose the bottom end it's supposed to give too. This is a good example of where you might actually slow the car down by upgrading one piece incorrectly.

you'd have to swap out your tpi for the Mini Ram III or the Holley Vortec EFI unit. the tpis one, www.tpis.com , has the throttle body if front, the Holley one has it on top like the original Vortec trucks. www.holley.com . You can also put on a Ram Jet, www.sdpc2000.com but I don't know if anyone has made it run with stock computer yet.
