a few questions about motor before install.

the motor is ready to go in the car tomorrrow. how do i find TDC to install the dist? when priming the motor with oil, which direction should the drill be on forward or reverse. also, what is the sensor that is located between the first and second plug on the drivers head. it is a 91z28 350tpi motor.

To find TDC, have the spark plug out of #1, hold your finger over the hole or put a piece of tape over it, turn the engine over by hand (or have it bumped over with the starter - don't just crank on it) until you feel pressure in the cylinder or the tape blows off and bring the timing mark up to zero. You're now at TDC.

Prime the engine with the drill running forward.

The sensor is the temp gage sending unit.
