My engine in the SS dynoed 614 horses and I have hit both a 250 shot cheater kit and a 350 horse big shot kit at the same time. All on a 2 bolt block with ARP studs. With no problems. I've built a couple 420s for folks using the 2 bolt 400 "stock" blocks as well. We're kinda cheap that way, but I hold my breath and cross my toes everytime I hit that 2nd kit. Your machine work and build should always be perfect,, but it has to be double perfect and would also suggest getting the block sonically checked if you plan on power levels over 500 horse. I do think the next build I do for the SS, if I continue to run a small block will be using the Dart or World Product blocks.
