i have a guy who will sell me a 350 out of his moms car (she just died at the age of 89) for 200 bux if i pull it. The car only has 29,000 miles on it and it runs good should i pass this up to find a good 400 or should i ****** this up quick and use this one??? the 350 is on an early impalla will the 350 be a more reliable motor than the 400?? i have heard of bad over heating problems with the 400??

A 350 for 200 dollars is a great deal, however I am also partial to the 400 small block. You can pull the 350 and if it is in good shape sell it to help buy a 400.

lol good idea I just bought the trans am and the prev owner blew up his original motor so i think i am going to slap this motor in my car and sell my supra then hopefully have enough money to build up a good 406 and then sell the 350 after i build the 406 = )

That sounds like a good plan. The 350 should last for a while and be fairly reliable. You can use the proceeds from the sale of the supra to finance the 406 and still have daily transportation. After you install the 406 you will still have a spare in case you ever need one or you could sell it and get your $200 back.
