400tpi swapout
I have a sbc400 to put in my 87 IROC.it has a 350tpi/350 turbo tranny.what parts can i reuse to save a few bux?can i use the flywheel,starter,balancer,etc...from the 350?also,which is the best head between the 350 centerbolt and the 305HO?thanx for all replies!!

I would say that your 400 sbc will be limited by that TPI, I would suggest to bore it and get bigger runners and injectors.maybe a 58mm trottle body would help.

You can't use the starter, the newer 350's have a straight bolt pattern for a 153 flexplate.
Can't use the 'flywheel' (felxplate) because the 400's are externally balanced. Need a 400 harmonic balancer also.
