is there a way to make 88TPI intake work on 86-below heads

is there a way to make 88TPI intake work on 86-below heads
i got a 1988 TPI setup for my 82 T/A. but the heads are 86-below version..is there anyway to make an 88 TPI intake work on 86-below heads? is there a place that drills them out? or am i going to have to buy a 86-below intake

I can't say I've done this, but having an '87 intake and '86 heads, I can see how it would work (like many have said) to simply elongate the holes with a rat-tail file so the bolts will line up with the heads. The bolt heads won't mount flush to the intake, so you could have the intake bolt surfaces machined to be parallel to the gasket surface, or make angled washers/bushings to go under the bolt heads. Or, leave them as they are.

Been there, done that. I used a rat-tail file (man it's a long job without a power grinder) and it works fine. Just make sure you use large washers, possibly some angle cut ones to hold a little better.
