I am considering the LT1 plus 460LE swap into my 85 IROC. How much do you think a shop will charge to make the swap (labor)?
Has anyone done this specific swap ? What are your opinions ?

 

personally, there is no way in h*ll I would pay a shop to do such a swap, they would absolutely charge atleast the price of the engine/tranny to swap it. probably even more. my dad and I swapped a 95 LT1 into mine and the final cost was probably about $2000, the engine cost $1500 with harness and ECM. there is a BUNCH of little minor crap that has to be done for the swap to work
