ZZ4 w?TPI "TOP-PARTS" Sniffer Legal????
I read the post about the ZZ4 and will it be legal?
Let's narrow down everything, please.
I also wanna swap my 305TPI for a ZZ4.
I wanna keep my "TPI", I mean I'm gonna put an aftermarket, big mouth intake. Combined with my SLP runners, ported plenum and a larger TB(52mm or 58mm) ad my mods(below)+ maybe larger headers.
Can all this be kept sniffer legal?
I know re-progaming(prom) is a must.
Also, Where is the best and cheapest place to buy a ZZ4?
Thanks in advance.

"Technically" legal? No. "Practically" legal? Yes.
You'll need to plumb exhaust up to the intake for the EGR valve since the ZZ4 heads don't have cross-over passages. The Big Mouth (Vette style) helps you there.
Larger headers would probably be a good idea to get the power out of it.
Couldn't say who's best for getting the engine itself. I'd think some comparison shopping is in order.

The cheapest place to get a ZZ4 is the closest chevy dealer to you that has GMPP parts, (not all chevy dealers sell GMPP) due to shipping cost the one or two hundred buck tou may save by shopping around is not worth it.
I dont know anything about how strict tests are in NY as far as testing all you emmisions hardware but in NC I had no problem just turning the EGR off when you have the reprogram done and left it bolted on, it passes the test easy and they have no reason to go messing with the EGR.
