what type of injection??
what type of injection??
I'm building up a mild 350 to replace my tired 305 and can't decide on keeping the TBI, swapping to Tuned Port, or carbing it out. I've heard that a 454 throttle body will work on the larger displacement motors, but also that a 4bbl intake manifold with the 305 throttle body will make more power because of the longer, bigger runners and that the 305 tb will atomize the fuel better. any help?? thanx
Well let's just say for the trouble it would be better to use a carburator something like a 650cfm or if you want better gas mileage go with TPI or Miniram.
it is true that you can use a 454 tbi but you will need to reconfigure your computer witch cost about 150$ in a shopand also I think bore the intake manifold.
TPI swapping is not that hard, I've wired a LT1 myself and it took me 2 days and it worked the first time . I hope you don't have to deal with any PASS-Key module issue.
------------------
LT1 POWERED
HEADMANS HEADERS
NEARLY 300 HP.
KILLED:
98 MUSTANG GT CONV.
88-89 MUSTANG 5.0 CONV.
next mods:
crane roller rockers 1.6
lt4 hotcam kit
airfoil
58MM edelbrock trottle body
new paint (wet look blue)
17' rims with 275 zr 40 and 245 zr40

what's the pass key module system thingy?
What i want to do is drop in a 350, and i'm just looking for the most cost effective way of doing it. I heard that swapping the Tuned Port wiring harness is difficult, thats all.
