New 350 prom from GM is around $75. Thats for a 350TPI chip. But if your going 350 TBI than all you need to do is get a aftermarket prom if they make them, don't know. Takes about 10 minutes to change proms. Give us some more info on how your car is being set-up.

75 bucks? Yikes, where do you shop?

Last one I got about a year ago was 35 including tax. Im not sure what chip you would need on that if theres a stock one available. Is it a TBI car? Might ask on the TBI board about it.

I know, I could have gotten a custom chip for that. But thats what they cost at the GM dealer. Different cars and setups may vary with price. I just bought mine a couple of months ago.

Car: 92'Camaro RS
Engine: a loud one
Transmission: bolted to the engine
I bought a hyper tech stage 2 chip about 5 years ago and paid like $135 at a speed shop for it. I have a RS with a 350 in it also. As far as installation it is very easy. Located inside the car on the passangers side .Its only a matter of opening the ECM ,(control module) pulling out the old chip and sliding the new one in. PS... dont forget the fan coolent switch. Though it will run without it. The fan won't kick on till about 220-230 degrees. Now since i put the fan switch on it kicks on around 190. Usually costs around $40 to $50 dollars in my area.
