305 TPI PERFORMANCE

I just purchased a 1987 pontiac formula 305 tpi everything stock. I was wondering what performance products or engine setup I could use to SQUEEZE every last drop of power out of this bad boy without breaking the bank. I was thinking of going the 350 route but does chevy have a bowtie....lol everybody has 350s today, I want something different that will shock people like s#it thats a 305! I cant decide whether or not I should rebuild it and add parts or buy a fresh gm goodwrench and start with that what would be more cost effective? Another thing is what products, should I mix and match different products, I was looking at Edelbrock performance packages and they look pretty good so does Holleys Street Avenger Packages does anyone know anything of these are they good setups? If anyone has any suggestions or answers on what I should do or you think I should do, setups that worked for their 305s, performance products to consider etc.. ANYTHING AT ALL WOULD BE HELPFUL LOOKING FOR ALL DIFFERENT TYPES OF IDEAS AND SETUPS!!!

THANKS A LOT APPRECIATE EVERYONES HELP IN ADVANCE!!

ASA
