Hey I have a 92 z28 w a 305 TPI.... I want recomendations on what engine I should swap too... I am sure it will be a 350, and I want to stick with TPI...I want something for the street but bad *** ....

So what should I get.. was thining about doing the Vortec thing but Heard wiring is a nightmare..

so please suggestions...

 

Need more info before anyone can give you good suggestions. Are you building or buying? Is money an Issue? When you say Vortech are you talking about a Vortech supercharger, vortec head swap or the vortec crate engine? Don't know why wiring would be an issue. All of your sensors basically screw into various waterjackets on the block and heads and since your using your tpi there shouldn't be any issues there. I have heard that the vortec heads have a unique intake bolt pattern and you would need a different intake. Since I haven't worked with the heads before I am not sure. Others have done that swap so I'm sure someone can answer that.

 

Well I am going with a new engine klike a crate engine.. money isnt a big issue but don't want to go overbaord.

I was told the wiring would be an issue but I think that person thought I had a TBI motor now.

I think for the intake they came out with one just for that engine recently.. i belive this is what you mean but not sure...
