V6 or v8 motor mounts help

I just pulled my motor out and was wandering will the v6 motor mounts work on the v8 or do i need to use the mounts outta my truck which the motor is coming out of? I kno ur supposed to move them up but the only holes that line up are the top?

You're talking about the chassis side, right?

I didn't pay enough attention when I did the swap 10-1/2 years ago. But, it is possible the chassis side is the same for both, just in different locations.

Safest bet would be to get a set of V8 mounts and use them.

There are photos of where the V8 mounts go in the V6 to V8 swap sticky.
