Axle/Gears: 3.73 9 bolt
700-R4 with LT1
Is anyone still using their stock 700-R4 behind their LT1 swaped motor. What kind of power are you pushing and is it holding up.

LT1 motor stuff so far:
TPIS ZZ-9 cam, Comp Cams 1.6 Roller Rockers, Comp Cams "R" Lifters, Crane Cams Dual Valvespring kit, Underdrive pulley, and an air foil.
383 LT1 Stroker project has begun.

yeah...and it melted the transmission!
built one up, put in kevlar lined clutches and crap, tci shift kit, fairbanks billet servo...goes right nice.
also, i blew out the pumpkin housing, so that ended up with a new 10bolt rear...
