An all to common question...which engine to choose?

I just got a 350 block (87-95) and can't decide on what I should build (350,355, or 383). I will be using this as a daily driver, but it will see the track ever so often. I currently have a 305 in there, and the computer is removed. It will be a carbed setup linked to a T5 (for now). I am just looking for something with a little power, but is very streetable. Any suggestions?

350 vs 355 is simply a matter of whether or not it needs a rebuild with .030"-over bore.

For a T5, anything over a 305 is stretching it. For that reason, and the fact that it's primary use is street, a 383 should be out of the question.

yeah, 383's are awesome, but they genarally have too much torque for a t5. How much can you score somthing like a th400 for?
