Fixin to drop the LT1 in....but first a few Q's for the experienced....
I have a 96 LT1...trying to hook it up to a 700R4 tranny. I don't have hands on expierence with engine swaps and stuff so my friend is doing most of the work. We are wondering how do you hook the kick down and cruise cable to the 96 throttle body? Do we need to buy a 93 throttle body since it came with a 700r4? Or what?
The fuel lines are also a mistery. Do you guys know what fittings are required to adapt the old lines to the fuel rail on the LT1?
The A/C lines are also puzzling us. Have I heard correctly that you can use the "old" a/c lines from the 89 and rebend them to line up to the LT1 compressor? If not, what exactly do I need to do?
Sorry for all the questions, but we are trying to "get our ducks in a row" before the engine is set into the bay and everything gets confusing...
Thanks,
MM

Carquest has a 90 degree a/c adapter that allows you to keep the a/c. get some new hose from your parts store, and cut off the original fittings from your old hoses, but cut the hose away from the fitting, dont just whack off the very end. then, using the new hose, push the fitting into the end, secure it with a hose clamp or two, and the secure the other end to your compressor fitting. just make sure you hook the lines up in the right place, dont do it backwards like we did at first.
