Neither is better. Both have Vortec heads (requires special intake manifold), getting a professional installation would cost more than the car is worth, the more things you need to go with either one is a complete factory V8 donor car, and when you're done it wouldn't be emissions legal (without a whole bunch more work and expense).

It is not a straight-forward "take the V6 out and put the V8 in" type of deal. Frankly, you'd be better off selling your V6 car and buying a factory V8 car.

On the other hand, you could add the NOS to your V6 right now.

Man, you need to search the archives. This is not like he said, a drop in a go type thing, you need to change pretty much everything. You're better off just getting a v8 car like he said. Also, in the archives a 2.8 to "bigger engine" has come up a MILLION times. Find out all you need there. Personally, what I would do is buy a 350 from a junk yard and rebuilt it. THAT WAY: You learn about engines and you can customize it to want you want. You CAN just buy the vortec heads alone. And from the look or things you OBVIOUSLY have money to throw at your car. Like I said, get a book called "How to rebuild your small block chevy" It's on ebay all the time for really cheap, I got mine for 15.50. It tells you everything you want to know. Then take your time and do it yourself. Not only will you probably save some serious money but you will learn A LOT and have the bragging rights and satisfaction that you did it yourself. Hope this helps man.
