Everyone, please try to answer and lease the first question!!!

I bought a Buick 455 a couple months ago. I was planning on putting in the my 1988 Camaro. I've decided that if I could trade the 455 for a Chevy Small Block, then I'd put the small block in the Camaro, but if I can't trade I'll stick with the 455. Now, I've stripped the 455 down to where the pistons are visible. (Don't ask why, please.) I haven't paid much attention to where I put what. So my question is, "Does it matter which cylinder head goes on which side?" Also, "how can I figure out the firing order?" Thank you for reading my long question. Any input gladly accepted!

The reason for down-grading, is because it's going to be a daily driver for me. I know that gas is going down, but then again it's going back up too! Those 455's come with 360HP and about 510lbs/ft of torque. If I did keep it, i'd like to get it more horsepower. It'd be hard to find parts for it. I can't find nothing in Jeg's, or in Summit having to do with Buick. All they have are Pontiac, and Oldsmobile 455 parts. They do differ in certain ways, which I'm not sure how.

The heads are interchangable side-to-side. The firing order is typically cast onto the intake manifold, but if not, just go out and get a Chiltons or Haynes manual for the car from which the engine came.

Kenne Bell has Buick engine parts.

SBC sounds much more attractive, though.

I'm thinking it would be cheaper too. How much can I get for it? It's not shiny, but I'm cleaning the block and heads, and everything up.

Do they make a Chilton's for a 1973 Skylark?
